ETSU’s College of Nursing was one of 10 academic institutions recently selected to participate in a new geriatric nursing education project supported b the American Association of Colleges of Nursing through funding from the John A. Hartford Foundation. The program expands clinical training opportunities beyond traditional health care settings, involving more community-based sites. Community partnerships are being formed with agencies such as adult daycare centers and assisted living facilities and include home visits to frail older adults and their family members.
