It has been a while since we've updated you on the progress that Denark is making on the renovations and it is amazing how much progress has been made!

On the third floor all the frames are up for the walls, the plumbing, electrical, and heating/air duct work is 90% complete.

Third Floor

The new elevator walls have been completed on all floors, however, they need to wait two weeks before they cut the hole through the ceilings and floors for the shaft.

On the second floor, all the frames for the walls are up except for the old part on the north side. Much of the plumbing for the sprinkler system is complete and all of the electrical conduit is in place. They were installing the air conditioning duct work while we were there.

All the windows have been removed waiting for the new ones to be installed. The replacement windows will not be ones that will open. On the east wall of the first floor (backside facing the new Sherrod Library) they have installed one section of the new windows with aluminum frames as samples. They look really similar to the old windows.

First floor frames have been installed in about 50% of the floor and the plumbing is complete for the sprinkler system. On the north wall they still need to pour a new floor between the first and second floors in the northwest corner.
