Application/Selection Process:
- Student first applies to University and indicates interest in BSN major. Admitted students will be classified as "pre-BSN";
however, pre-BSN status does not guarantee admission to the BSN major.
- Students must make formal application to the College of Nursing BSN major during the semester in which they will
complete (or have in progress) all the courses listed above and meet all other admission requirements. The priority
application deadlines are October 1 for Spring class and February 1 for Fall class.
- Eligible applicants will be rank-ordered by cumulative college level grade point average. Conditional admission
will be offered to the top ranked students.
- Conditionally admitted students may advance register for PMNU 2310, FCNU 2010, PMNU 2020, and FCNU 2030. A final
verification of eligibility for these courses will be made once semester grades become available. Students who are no longer eligible
at the end of the semester of conditional acceptance will be administratively dropped from the nursing courses and
must reapply.
- Fully admitted students who continue to successfully progress (as defined in the University Catalog) can expect
to complete the degree requirements in five semesters, including the semester in which they begin the major.
