**Any appropriate 5000/6000/7000 level three credit hour course taken at ETSU or another university may be acceptable. Please submit syllabus to the Office of Academic Programs and Student Services prior to registration for approval. The statistics course must be completed within ten years of enrollment within the first research course.
**All students must be registered for a minimum of one semester hour of coursework in the semester in which they take or re-take the qualifying examination. If all coursework is completed, students must register (until they are admitted to candidacy) for at least one semester hour of ALNU/FCNU/PMNU 6990 Reading and Research each semester.
