President's Message:
Never before has the future of nursing been so bright.
According to the latest Gallop survey and for the eighth
consecutive year, nurses are viewed as the most trusted professionals in
health care today - (83% of Americans). How
do nurses consistently maintain such high levels of trust? The answer is
found in the profound professional responsibility nurses take in the
care of those entrusted to them.
Professional care is exemplified by the nurse members of Epsilon
Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.
Nursing knowledge, leadership, and scholarship are the essence of
nursing and exemplified in our practice. The CARE that emanates from
nurses in a multitude of roles provides the context for this sustained
public trust.
We invite you to join us as we continue to move the profession forward.
We need to continue to act locally to support each other.
Take the first step and ask your fellow nurses if they are
considering continuing education or research.
Seek out ways you think you can help.
Even small acts can add up to large changes and that way each of
us can make a difference – locally, nationally and even internationally.
