In partial fulfillment of the requirements of designated B.S.N. courses, students will take standardized assessment exams
designed to prepare them for professional practice and the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Four-year B.S.N.
students take an Entrance Assessment, used only as a diagnostic tool, as a course requirement in the first semester of the
major. A Mid-Curricular Exam must be passed as a requirement of a designated course in the second semester of the junior
year. All students in the last semester of their academic program must pass a comprehensive Exit Exam as a requirement of
a designated course in the second semester of the senior year. The assessment exams may be scheduled at other than usual
class/clinical times and will be announced in advance. Personnel in the Testing Center will assist students at all levels
to interpret test results, identify any areas of academic deficiency, select learning resources, and develop study plans
to meet specific learning needs. More information on scheduled for each exam, payment procedures, review sessions, and
policies for re-examination will be provided within the designated courses.
