Deadline for Filing Application -

Criteria:

• Student progressing to final year in nursing major (B.S.N. or M.S.N.).
• Cumulative college level GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled full-time (12 s.h. B.S.N.; 9 s.h. M.S.N.).
• Recommendations from two faculty which address potential in nursing and leadership in College of Nursing and community activities.
• Active membership in TANS/ANA or TNA/ANA (Desirable).

Award $600.00 ($300.00 per semester x 2 semesters - Fall and Spring) Students graduating in December will be awarded the full amount in the Fall semester.

Application Materials:

• Statement from applicant (limited to 1 typed page) regarding commitment to the profession of nursing, plans for the future and/or areas of clinical interest.
• Two (2) faculty recommendations.

You may go to College of Nursing Scholarship Application  and submit the application to the Office of Academic Programs and Student Services, 230 Roy S. Nicks Hall or mail to P.O. Box 70664, Johnson City, TN 37614.
 

Expectations/Award Procedure:

• The recipient will be expected to attend TNA District V Nurses Day held in May to receive award and East Tennessee State University Academic Excellence Convocation held in April.
• The award will be dispersed in the Dean's office at the beginning of each semester (Fall and Spring following receipt of award).
