Responsibilities of Tutors and Tutorees

Both tutors and tutorees must sign up each semester in the Nickels N.U.R.S.E. Center. Tutors must indicate which courses they want to tutor. Tutorees must request those course(s) in which they desire to be tutored. Both must agree to follow the College of Nursing honor code, academic policies and procedures and sign a contract and confidentiality statement.

Tutors and tutorees are matched each semester according to tutor availability and tutoree need. The matches are posted on the Nickels N.U.R.S.E. Center D2L site. After initial contact tutors and tutorees assume equal responsibility for attending scheduled sessions and for keeping each other informed.

It is also expected that tutorees come to each tutoring session having already studied the material.
