All students enrolled in the MSN program will complete the
following MSN core courses:

Students enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner specialty curriculum will complete MSN core courses, the Advanced Practice Nursing core and additional specialty nursing courses as specified in the curriculum plan. Dual specialties are available (FNP/GNP; ANP/GNP). The Advanced Practice Nursing core courses include the following:

Students enrolled in the Nursing Administration specialty will complete the MSN core courses, specialty courses in nursing administration, and select a program completion option (thesis/coursework). The student who selects the thesis option will complete a minimum of six hours of thesis credit for preparation of the thesis as directed by the student’s advisory committee. The student who selects the coursework option will select six hours of elective coursework as approved by the student’s major academic advisor.
All students, except those doing a thesis, are required to pass a written comprehensive examination in the final semester of the program.
