Dr. Judy McCook
Associate Professor,
Dr. Judy McCook, who has been with the ETSU College of Nursing
for ten years, is both an instructor and a researcher. She
teaches two graduate level courses one in Interdisciplinary
Bioethics and another in Clinical Outcomes Measurement. Her
undergraduate teaching expertise is in the areas of maternity
and women's health. Her ongoing bio-behavioral research focuses
on women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). A longitudinal
follow-up study is underway to examine the significant levels of
negative affect including depression and anxiety reported by the
original study of 128 women with PCOS. This fall Dr. McCook will
begin a new data gathering phase in the ETSU university health
clinic recruiting both women with PCOS and healthy ovulatory
controls.
Dr. McCook has
published one manuscript in JOGNN and she has three additional
manuscripts underway. In the future, Dr. McCook will follow this
research trajectory and continue studying infertility. For more
