Allergy Clinic Information Monday – Friday 8:00am – 11:30am 1:30pm – 3:30pm
The Allergy Clinic is one of the many available services offered to students at ETSU Student Health Services. Allergy injections are given Monday thru Friday, 8am to 11:30am and 1:30pm-3:30pm. ETSU Student Health Services is located in 160 Roy S. Nicks Hall.
ETSU Student Health Services does NOT do allergy testing. A physician specializing in that must do allergy testing. ETSU Student Health Services can safely give your allergy injections according to the written instructions of your allergist.
What you need to do to get your allergy injections at ETSU Student Health Services:
- Call Student Health Services (423) 439-4225.
- Identify yourself as a student enrolled at ETSU who is interested in getting allergy injections at Student Health Services.
- Make an appointment to see one of the Registered Nurses (RN). Plan for the appointment to last a minimum of 45 minutes because of the initial paperwork that needs to be filled out. Subsequent injections should not take as long. However, for your safety, ETSU Student Health Services REQUIRES you wait 20 minutes in the clinic after receiving an allergy injection.
-
What you need to bring with you to your Student Health Services initial appointment:
- Written orders from your allergist.
- Phone and fax number of allergist.
- Allergy vials (remember they need to be kept refrigerated).
Cost Pay per semester plan: $80.00 This plan needs to be paid in full at the beginning of the semester and includes all allergy clinic visits regardless of number of injections or frequency visits.
Pay per injection plan: $10.00 for one injection $1.00 for each additional injection
This plan requires that you pay for your visit each time you come to the allergy clinic. You can decide which plan best meets your needs and is more cost-effective for you.
If you begin coming to the allergy clinic in the middle of a semester, fees cannot be prorated, you must pay on a per injection basis for the remaining weeks in that term.
