Welcome to ETSU's Blackboard support site for faculty and staff.

There are major changes coming this summer to Blackboard at ETSU, all designed to make using Blackboard easier for you. While many of the changes will take place "behind the scenes," here are some changes that you will notice:

• New Login Process effective July 11th. The Blackboard login system will be merged with the ETSU email/network login so that you will use the same username/password to check your email, log on to your computer in the office, and go into Blackboard. That's one less password for you to have to remember. (See more detailed information)
• Automatic Site Creation. All courses listed in SIS will automatically have a Blackboard site created for them. If you don't want to use it, do nothing. If you do want to use the site, simply login to Blackboard and make the site available to students with one click of your mouse. No more having to fill out forms to have your sites created every semester.
• More Accurate Student Data. Students will be added into and taken out of Blackboard course sites based upon information in SIS, usually within a few hours of the student adding or dropping the course. No more having to manually add and remove students from your sites.
• Easy to Use Process for Requesting that Sites be Combined. Many instructors who are teaching multiple sections of the same course want all of their students placed into one course site. That process has been simplified with an online request form. (Request Site Combination)
• Easy Process for Requesting Non-Teaching Sites. It's now even easier to request a Blackboard site for non-teaching purposes. Departments, groups, etc, can fill out a form online and their site will be created within 1 business day. (Request form)
