Microsoft Campus Agreement

Microsoft Select Program

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at East Tennessee State University acquired an agreement with Software Plus, Inc. to purchase Microsoft software licenses at a significantly reduced cost.

The Microsoft Select program includes products not covered by our Microsoft campus agreement. Products covered by the campus agreement are:

• Microsoft Windows upgrades, with restrictions

• Microsoft Office Enterprise, OneNote and Groove

• Microsoft Expression Web (coming late summer 2007)

• Microsoft Visual Studio Professional

• Microsoft Core Client Access License

The three product types covered by the Microsoft Select program are

• Applications

• Servers

• Systems

Although Office® and related products are applications, these products are available at no charge through the campus agreement. Applications with a more specific audience, such as Visio or Project, as well as server- and systems-related programs, are available through the Microsoft Select program.

The ETSU Microsoft Select program includes

• Microsoft software licenses for university use on ETSU owned machines

• Installation assistance from OIT
