Outlook 2007 is rather easy to set up. You'll just need to know the information to put in when the setup program asks for it. This guide will walk you through the various settings of the setup program.
This is the welcome screen that comes up when the setup program
starts. Click
Next.
This confirmation screen makes sure that you really want to set up
Outlook 2007. Be sure that the selection is set to
Yes and click on
Next.
Outlook tries to contact the e-mail server and get your account
information. It should show your full name and e-mail address. Note
that when you give out your e-mail address, you're not required to
include the "mail" part. Unfortunately Outlook doesn't choose the
correct server type. Be sure the box that says "Manually configure
server settings or additional server types" is checked. Your name
and e-mail address will be grayed out.
The type of server that you'll need to select is
Microsoft Exchange, then click
Next.
The name of the server that most people will enter is
etsuex1. College of Medicine faculty and staff
will need to enter
etsuex3. Your full name should still appear in the
User Name field. Click
Next.
Once everything goes successfully, you can click on Finish and
Outlook will be set up.
