Frequently Asked Questions

NOTE:  Any equipment purchased with ProCards or DPOs must be tagged with an ETSU inventory number before OIT can provide support.  Please do not wait until you have problems to attempt to get this done.

Call Jay Seehorn in Central Receiving, x94364, or email him at seehornj@mail.etsu.edu, and request that he tag your new equipment as soon as you get it.  Service calls cannot be done on ETSU equipment that has no inventory number.

Purchasing can assist you in your printer or scanner purchase.

ETSU does have a state contract with a firm, and this may allow you to save money.  For more information, please contact Francie Cannon, Purchasing Agent, at x94224, or email her at cannonf@etsu.edu.

NOTES:  Printers and scanners should only be purchased for Macintosh computers that have USB ports.

If your particular operating system is not listed in the Platform/OS Compatibility field, please be sure you are purchasing equipment that will be compatible with what you intend to use it with.  Operating system upgrades are not performed by OIT except under extenuating circumstances.
