RODP M.Ed. Advance Studies in Teaching and Learning

100% Online Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning, M.Ed. Regents Online Degree Program (R.O.D.P.)

Program Overview:

The Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) for Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning is designed for licensed, practicing teachers to earn a Master of Education (M.Ed.) through online course work. At ETSU, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction oversees admission and advisement for the program through this campus.

The Master's Degree program is aligned with National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) core propositions. In addition, it includes coursework focused on pedagogical content proficiencies related to teaching Reading-Language Arts. This design will allow teachers to receive advanced professional preparation consistent with NBPTS principles and is supportive of achieving NBPTS Certification in Early and Middle Childhood/Literacy: Reading-Language Arts.

All of the Tennessee Board of Regents universities offer the same degree program. However, you must adhere to the admission requirements, registration procedures, fees, conceptual framework, and academic policies of the university selected as your home campus.

You must be admitted into ETSU's Graduate School or a graduate school at another Tennessee Board of Regents campus prior to beginning the program.

Who this Online M.Ed. program is for:

The program is intended for licensed, practicing teachers, and much of the course work will allow students in the program to carry out assignments within their own classrooms. The degree provides advanced practice in the area of reading and language arts for currently practicing teachers and is aligned with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
