The Masters of Science in Allied Health (MSAH) degree is designed for any allied health professional who wants the flexibility of pursuing an advanced degree from the convenience of their home.
The program of study was designed with the working dental hygienist, respiratory therapist, radiologic technologist, medical laboratory technologist, and other health care professionals in mind. The MSAH degree will allow you to advance in your field by providing you with skills to conduct research, teach, implement and evaluate innovative programs, or move into administration.

ETSU School of Graduate Studies Admission Requirements
These standards and materials are required of all applicants regardless of program. Individual program requirements are additional to the following:
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Degrees from non-accredited institutions will be evaluated on an individual basis.
An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for domestic students, and a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for international students. (Some programs may require a higher GPA.)
A completed graduate application form.
A personal essay of 150-300 words, detailing your interests in a graduate program at ETSU.
A non-refundable application fee of $45 ($55 for international students).
One official transcript from every college or university where the applicant has taken courses.
Program Admission Requirements
Students who apply to the Master of Science Degree in Allied Health must meet all of the requirements of the master’s degree as established by the School of Graduate Studies at East Tennessee State University. They must also meet the following program specific requirements:
Attain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or equivalent.)
Hold a professional license in an allied health discipline.
Completed GRE exam.
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or complete the GRE exam and based on the following formula score 1700 or higher; (GPA x 500+ GRE aptitude score (V+Q+A)).
Three professional letters of recommendation.
Admission is based on the GPA, GRE scores, quality of reference letters, strength of background, and available space in the program. The department can grant conditional admission to candidates not meeting all of the minimum requirements. All applicants must submit an official transcript, GRE scores, and letters of reference before their application will be reviewed.
