Educational Opportunity Center Services

The objective of the EOC is to help adults obtain a GED and/or a college degree. There are many people who either stopped out of college or high school before obtaining a diploma or a degree, or who never started college, and often think about completing a degree. Most people "stop out" of college or high school or postpone college for one of the following reasons:

  • Need to work to support a family;
  • Become a parent;
  • Family emergency or care for a relative;
  • Lost interest in school;
  • Other financial reasons.

The Educational Opportunity Center can help you:

  • Determine your educational goals - 4 year degree, 2 year degree, vocational/technical degree, or GED
  • Visit area vocational training centers and colleges
  • Brush up on test-taking and study skills
  • Find information on financial assistance including scholarships
  • Complete college financial aid applications
  • Navigate the college application process
  • Complete college admission applications
  • Explore career options
  • Adjust to college
  • Find answers to questions through referrals to local agencies and institutions
  • and so much more...
