Educational Talent Search Services Advisors will meet with students at their school usually once or twice per month and will discuss or provide information on personal development, career exploration, study skills enhancement and college preparation.
Schools Served by the ETSU Educational Talent Search
How do I apply? Anyone interested in receiving services from the ETSU Educational Talent Search must complete an application. Every fall, Educational Talent Search staff recruit new participants from the 6th grade (7th grade at Johnson County Middle School). Staff distribute applications and information sheets to any student that is interested. Students must then take the application home to be completed. All applications must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Because Educational Talent Search is a federally funded program, family income information is collected for statistical purposes. All information provided in the application packet is confidential. No one will be selected to participate in Educational Talent Search without a complete application. Please note that not all applicants are selected for the program. Educational Talent Search is funded to serve only 600 participants in 17 schools. So enrollment at most schools is limited.
