At the time of his appointment as Founding Dean of the ETSU College of Pharmacy, Dr. Larry Calhoun served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wilson Pharmacy and Home Health in Johnson City and was actively involved in the pharmacy school strategic planning. Prior to joining Wilson Pharmacy in 2003, Calhoun had been President and CEO of Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and was Vice President at Mountain States Health Alliance. He also held several positions with the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, Calhoun graduated from Hampton High School and completed pre-pharmacy studies at ETSU before attending the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis, where he was awarded his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) degrees.  

Sherry Armitage

Sherry Armitage was the second person to be employed by the College of Pharmacy and is the Executive Assistant to the Dean. An ETSU employee for 18 years, Armitage most recently served as the office manager in the Office of Student Affairs at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine. She earned her B.G.S. degree at ETSU and a Master of Arts in organizational management at Tusculum College. She is a member of the American Management Association (AMA) and the Omicron-Psi National Honor Society.

Wendy Williams joined the College of Pharmacy in April 2006 as office coordinator in the Dean’s Office.  She holds a bachelor of science in legal assistant studies from Milligan College.  An ETSU employee since 1997, Williams has claimed numerous honors, including Outstanding College of Medicine Staff Award, Caduceus Club Founders Award, and Golden Apple Award. 

Pamela F. Blevins

Pamela Blevins joined the Dean’s Office in the College of Pharmacy in June 2007.  She was awarded her BSG from ETSU in December 1998.  She served as Executive Aide in the Office of the Dean of Medicine and Vice President for Health Affairs for more than 10 years.  While in the Vice President’s Office, Pamela assisted with the efforts to establish the College of Pharmacy.
