Pharmacy students are required to maintain health insurance
as a condition of enrollment. Students have the option of purchasing
insurance through the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) student insurance
program or of providing proof of comparable insurance through an
alternate provider. The cost of the
premium will be included on the
semester fee bill for students electing to purchase the TBR student
insurance.
Student electing to opt out of the TBR student insurance
program may must provide documentation of health insurance through an alternate
provider to the Office of Student Affairs on an annual
basis. This is done by completing the
Insurance Declaration Form
and returning it to the
Student Affairs office. Otherwise, the student will
automatically be enrolled in the TBR student insurance program with cost
of the insurance being included on the Fall fee bill.
As part of the TBR student insurance program, a spouse
and/or children may be covered for an additional premium. Students
choosing to add dependent coverage must pay the premium separately as it
cannot be included on the semester fee bill.
Note: Student Affairs is advised of changes to
the student insurance program in the summer by the Tennessee Board of
Regents (TBR). Benefits, premiums, and conditions are subject to annual
change. Click here
