Admissions Criteria and Academic Prerequisites

The ETSU College of Pharmacy participates in PharmCAS (Pharmacy College Application Service), a centralized application service provided by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) to colleges and schools of pharmacy.  PharmCAS offers the convenience of one general application for multiple doctor of pharmacy degree programs.  PharmCAS is currently accepting applications for the fall 2008 entering class.

The ETSU College of Pharmacy application cycle consists of two steps.  They do not have to be completed in order, but the PharmCAS application must be started before submitting the ETSU College of Pharmacy supplemental application:

  • Step 1: Complete and submit the online PharmCAS application

  • Step 2: Complete and submit the online ETSU College of Pharmacy supplemental application
    - ETSU College of Pharmacy Supplemental Application

All application materials must be received prior to January 4, 2008.  Only complete applications are reviewed for interview considerations.  For an application to be complete the following items must be received;

  • PharmCAS application (including all required PharmCAS information and payment)
  • At least two letters of recommendation, as specified in our admissions information
  • ETSU College of Pharmacy supplemental application
  • ETSU College of Pharmacy supplemental application payment.

Fall 2008 Admissions Criteria and Academic Prerequisites
At their Summer 2007 Board meeting, the Tennessee Board of Regents approved a $500 class deposit fee for the ETSU College of Pharmacy.  Students who are accepted into the class entering in the fall of 2008 will be required to pay the non-refundable class reservation deposit to hold their place in the class. This deposit is applied toward the first semester tuition.

Falsification of Credentials

According to T.C.A. Sec. 49-7-133, it is a Class A misdemeanor to misrepresent academic credentials.  A person commits the offense of misrepresentation of academic credentials who, knowing that the statement is false and with the intent to secure employment at or admission to an institution of higher education in Tennessee, represents, orally or in writing that such person:
(1)  Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas from an accredited institution of higher education;
(2)  Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees for diplomas from a particular institution of higher education; or
(3)  Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas in a particular field or specialty from an accredited institution of higher education.
