Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy

The college of pharmacy offers PGY2 residency programs in ambulatory care and internal medicine. Both programs are accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The most unique aspect of the programs is the emphasis in academia as all post-graduate trainees acquire unique skills in teaching by working with GCOP faculty members both in the classroom and in the experiential setting. PGY2 residents will also participate the college's teaching and learning certificate program. The residency graduate will be well prepared for a job in academia or advanced clinical practice. The residencies recruit during the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting both at the Personnel Placement Service (PPS) and residency showcase. Applications are due each year on January 10th and all applications should be made using PhORCAS.

Residency training at the Gatton College of Pharmacy (GCOP) is currently offered in Ambulatory Care and Internal Medicine. GCOP residency programs are a member of the Tri-Cities Residency Consortium.

  • ASHP accredited PGY2 programsashp
