ASTRONOMY I (ASTR 1010) - The Solar System

Spring 2008, Meeting 12:45 - 2:05 Tuesday and Thursday in Brown 261

UP-AND-FRONT:

* Notes -

The final exam is on Thursday, May 1st, from 1:20-3:20 in the regular lecture room.

HW #7 has two mistakes. Question #5 has the answer appearing in two of the choices; question #8 has a typo. Neither will be scored, so the total possible correct on this homework is seven, not nine.

A review sheet for Exam #3 is now available under the 'Exams' link below.

For the sunspotter lab, you MUST start this by the beginning of April or I will not accept the lab. Although not a difficult lab, it does require several weeks of observing the sun with the sunspotter. This optional extra-credit lab is due in lecture on April 24.

Material for the Sun did not appear on the review sheet for the second exam. This was my error. So the scores for the second exam have been adjusted. See me if you have any questions.

I have curved the first exam. You should add 3 pts to the score given at the bottom of the scantron for Exam #1.

For HW #1, the correct answer for question 9 was (b), but mismarked on the solutions key. If you had (b) correctly marked, add one point to the score at the bottom of your scantron. (I have already made the correction to my grade book.)
