The Engineering transfer program at ETSU allows students to start their
college career closer to home in the friendly environment that exists
at our campus. As a rule, classes are much smaller than those typically
found at larger universities, and our faculty are devoted to excellence
in teaching and helping our students achieve success.
Students get personal attention and interactions with professors. When
students choose to transfer to another school, their time spent at ETSU
will have been academically fulfilling and will have provided a strong
foundation for advanced study in the engineering discipline of their choice.
For many students, starting their college career at a university that is
both nearby and more personal can be the difference between completing
and not completing a degree program. Time spent at
ETSU will be a lasting part of
fond memories of undergraduate days.
As is the case with all technical, professional, and scientific degrees, the selection and sequence of freshman and sophomore level coursework is critical. In the programs listed, students must realize that the appropriate and regular sequencing of mathematics courses must begin in the first semester at ETSU. Students must pay close attention to prerequisites and course sequences. Science courses should be given the same level of attention to ensure that competencies are built at the needed rate of advancement.
