Coal Related WebQuest - an activity designed using Tennessee State Curriculum Standards for Fifth Grade Social Studies. Teachers may adapt the requirements within the WebQuest to meet their needs. Students will explore the geology of coal, the cultural and historical aspects of coal mining, as well as the economic and environmental impact of the coal industry. Once the research is complete, students will be expected to organize their findings into a comprehensive presentation.
