Intercollegiate Athletics

Passion, Excitement, Traditions

ETSU athletics has created a tradition of national success over the last 25 years–numerous NCAA appearances in basketball, golf, tennis, cross country and track & field. To give our outstanding athletes the finest in training and competitive venues, ETSU has launched a $100 million athletic capital campaign “The Pathway to Excellence.”

With the help of generous and dedicated donors, the $1.8 million Warren-Greene Golf Center opened in August 2004. This state-of-the-art practice complex has attracted world-class athletes to Hall of Fame Coach Fred Warren and Coach Stephanie Reynolds' golf programs. Described as “the finest on-campus golf facility in the nation,” this first project, designed by world-renowned golf architect Tom Fazio and the local architectural firm of Ken Ross and Associates, has raised the bar of expectations in ETSU athletic facilities.

Links in this site show the construction which has recently begun on a new soccer complex and the design work completed for a softball stadium, baseball stadium, indoor-outdoor tennis center, and outdoor track. Plans for a basketball arena with conversion options for major entertainment and convocation events will soon begin. Each project will not only take ETSU athletics to another level of training and competition, but will also make available to the community athletic venues capable of attracting conference, regional, and national events, and professional showcases.

Become a Path-builder and help us pave “The Pathway to Excellence.”

Tennessee does not utilize any state revenue to build intercollegiate athletic facilities. Support from the region is needed for these venues to become a reality.
