Roan Scholars Gallery

The freshman class of the Roan Scholars Leadership Program participated in their first Roan adventure during a ten-day outdoor curriculum last August.

Mollie, Chelsea, Lucas, Matt, and Erika learned a multitude of new skills, including kayaking, caving, outdoor survival, hiking, scuba diving, and many more. When they completed the program, they had bonded and were grateful for the opportunity to try new things they would otherwise never dream of doing.

The adventure started with their trip to Fontana Lake in North Carolina. The lake has served as our kayaking destination for several years due to its remote location and beautiful forest setting.
