the public current academic calendars, grading policies, and refund policies.
JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE
Yes, East Tennessee State University is able to provide
a portfolio of evidence supporting compliance.
STATEMENT OF RATIONALE FOR JUDGMENT OF COMPLIANCE
East Tennessee State University makes available to students
and the public current academic calendars, grading policies, and refund
policies in several locations, both printed and electronic. The following
describes these locations in greater detail:

The ETSU Academic Calendar is presented in every publication of
the ETSU Undergraduate, Graduate, and Quillen College
of Medicine catalogs. The calendar also is available each semester
to students, faculty, and interested others in both printed and electronic
forms (ETSU Schedule of Classes; ETSU Office of the Registrar,
Calendar).

Policies regarding Grades also are delineated in the ETSU
catalogs. Information is included about numerical values assigned
to letter grades and the grade appeal process. The grade appeal process
is also in the student handbook, ETSU Spectrum. The ETSU
Refund Policies are in accordance with the appropriate Tennessee
Board of Regents (TBR) guideline (TBR Manual, Fees, Charges and
Refunds), and available from the university catalogs, class schedules,
and on the web. Students with changes in enrollment status (reclassification
from full-time to part-time or reduction in part-time credit hours)
are eligible for refunds. Situations that may permit a refund are
dropping a course or courses, withdrawing from the institution, cancellation
of a class by the institution, or death of the student.
