ETSU's distinct addition to the pilot

East Tennessee State University has agreed to accept the additional challenge of communicating electronically to the Commission on Colleges (COC) staff all materials supporting the reaffirmation pilot. These materials include routine communication between COC staff and the ETSU liaison officer, the actual Certification of Compliance and Quality Enhancement Plan, on-going Institutional Profile Reports, document linkages supporting all communication, and portfolios of evidence. In short, the reaffirmation project will be a web-reliant communication process.
An ETSU web-related initiative previously established by the university's Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Committee (SPC) will fold into the Compliance Audit electronic self-study objective. Specifically, the SPC envisions using the web to support and document the university's strategic planning, goal-setting efforts, and continuous improvement activities. The ultimate outcome of the vision will be an on-line data warehouse. The warehouse and documentation sources will benefit the university in several ways, including providing immediate access to data/reports for the campus and various audiences.
