Pilot institutions

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) invited eight institutions to participate in piloting the proposed requirements for accreditation. These institutions will contribute to the Accreditation Review Project in two ways. First, they will contribute to the development of the core requirements and standards by critiquing the standards for importance, clarity of statements, meaningfulness, applicability, and fairness. Modification or changes to the standards may occur based on the input from the pilot institutions. Second, the pilot institutions will contribute to the development of the process.
The pilot institutions represent universities, colleges, and schools with varying missions. Each institution has identified a four-member leadership team to interact periodically with each other and the Commission. In addition to issues and concerns about the requirements and process, the teams identify positive points about the proposed changes. The selected institutions are
