Engineering Technology, Surveying & Digital Media Homepage
The Department of Engineering Technology, Surveying, & Digital Media, a unit of the College of Business and Technology [CBAT], is one of the largest and most academically diverse units of East Tennessee State University. The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in numerous concentrations, undergraduate minors in two areas, and graduate degree programs in two concentrations. Several programs are accredited through ABET. The department's adminstrative and faculty offices are housed primarily in two buildings on the ETSU main campus. The Engineering Technology and Surveying & Mapping programs are located in Wilson-Wallis Hall while the Digital Media program is housed across State of Franklin Road from the main campus in the Scott M. Niswonger Digital Media Center.

TBR officially approved the recent departmental name change from "Technology & Geomatics" to the longer but more understandable "Engineering Technology, Surveying & Digital Media." MultidisciplinaryProduct Development is newest Engineering Technology concentration. Bubbles in Zero-G: In 2006, ETSU Engineering Technology faculty partnered with Hands On! Museum, Greeneville High School to fabricate an automated apparatus to blow bubbles in NASA's Reduced Gravity Program.
