ETSU Reverse Traverse Team Awarded 2nd Place

The ETSU Team, Reverse Traverse, won second place in the
3rd Annual Appalachian Ideas Network Showcase competing against teams
from five other schools in the Appalachian Region. The award included a plaque
and cash award of $1,500 to help start the business venture.
Reverse Traverse is a Web 2.0 social network concept that links the people of
similar demographics to physical locations in the surrounding area. The concept was
formulated in the ETSU graduate class, Innovative Entrepreneurship (ENTC/MGMT 5640),
by a team consisting of Danielle Oprean, James Spencer and Adam Perry. Oprean and
Spencer are both Masters of Science degree candidates in the Technology & Geomatics
department and Perry is a recent Bachelor of Science graduate from the
Computer & Information Science department.
The Appalachian Ideas Network
is a cooperative association of public and private institutions
in the Appalachian region and focuses on research and projects related to social entrepreneurship.
Another ETSU Team, Blue Plum Animation Festival, won first place in the contest two years ago. |
