Surveying and Mapping Science
Cadastral/Design Sequence

The Surveying and Mapping Science program is accredited by the Applied Science Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012 - telephone: (410) 347-7700.

The Cadastral/Design sequence of the Surveying and Mapping Science undergraduate (B.S.) degree program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore the traditional field of boundary, subdivision and engineering design, and cadastral & geodetic surveying. There are many career opportunities for a graduate from this program in both private and public sectors. Several opportunities exist, especially with the ubiquity of GPS, for studying the techniques and theory of high-precision measurement.
