Can I attend Orientation or take Academic
Advantage classes in Bristol?
Starting Fall 2006 students planning to take all
their classes in Bristol will be able to attend
an orientation at the Bristol campus. There
will also be an academic advantage class
available for new students. Check with the front
desk for dates and times.
How many students attend ETSU at Bristol?
Although the number varies from semester to semester,
Bristol has served up to 350 students some
semesters. Our
enrollment is
generally comprised of 60% non-traditional
age students (adults returning to school to complete
degrees or graduate students), and 40%
traditional students,
coming from local high schools such as Tennessee
High, Sullivan East, and Sullivan Central, as well
as transfer students from other area colleges and
community colleges. Most
of our students attend part time, and most work in
addition to taking classes.
What classes are offered at the Bristol
Campus? The general education core (the
courses required of all students seeking a
bachelor’s degree) is offered at ETSU at Bristol
every semester. In addition to the general
education core additional courses are offered in management
and other majors, as well as special topics classes
in many majors. A
cohort is
also being offered in criminal
justice as well as a Masters cohort in Early
Childhood Education and courses towards the MBA. See

Can I pay fees at ETSU at Bristol?
Yes, you may pay in person at the Bristol
or Johnson City Campuses, online using GoldLink
Online (www.etsu.edu),
by phone (423) 439-4212, or by mail (send check or
money order to Bursar’s Office, PO Box 70719, ETSU,
Johnson City, TN 37614-0719 – Place student ID
number on check and allow adequate time for mail
delivery)
Can I take all my classes in Bristol?
Yes, you can take any
or all your classes at the Bristol
location, depending
on those being offered. These appear on your
ETSU transcript and there is no additional paperwork
required when you begin to take classes on the main
campus. Some students split their schedule between
the Johnson City and Bristol
campuses during the same semester. Any combination
is fine. All ETSU's
extended campuses are a part of ETSU!
What
services are offered at ETSU at Bristol?

Academic Advisor - ETSU at Bristol
has an
academic advisor, Lisa Elliott, each
Monday who assists prospective as well as
continuing students with their schedules.
Advisor appointments can be made by calling the front
desk at 844-6300.

Financial Aid Advisor - A financial aid
advisor visits the Bristol
Campus once
a month. Please
call 844-6300 to schedule an appointment.
BOOKSTORE- You
can order your books on-line from ETSU's bookstore
and request that they be sent to your home or to the
Bristol campus. The bookstore conducts a buy back
day at the end of each semester.
COMPUTER LAB– You
may use the computer lab whenever the building is
open, unless a class is scheduled in the lab.
LIBRARY– You
may use the computer in the library or in the
computer lab to download articles and conduct
research. You may also request that library
materials be sent to the Bristol campus for you.
Check with the front desk for hours when a student
worker is available to assist you.
MATH TUTORING–
check with the front
desk for hours.
ETSU at Bristol
students may also take advantage of any
services offered on the
Johnson City campus.
Can I get my
ID made in Bristol? Yes, at
certain times at the beginning of the semester. Check
with the front desk
for dates and hours. You may also take advantage of
the ID office in Johnson City. The ID Office is
located on the second level of the D.P. Culp Center

Can I join at Fraternity or Sorority if I take
all my classes in Bristol?
Yes, you may go through Rush or participate in any
student activity offered at the main campus.
What
student activities are
available to Bristol
students?

on the bulletin boards. Also, you can attend any
activities on the Johnson City campus. |
