Fall 2008 KACL Schedule
Fall 2008 KACL Course
Descriptions
The Kingsport Alliance for Continued Learning (KACL) was
established in 1993 to provide area adults with opportunities to
explore a variety of subjects and to expand their cultural
horizons. Membership in KACL is
open to men and women of all ages.
Classes are informal, with little or no homework and no grades
or tests. They offer you the opportunity to indulge your
intellectual curiosity, engage in discussion, and enjoy the
cooperative atmosphere among friends.
Whether your formal education ended early in life or you’ve
acquired an advanced degree, you are welcome. KACL classes are
offered during the morning and afternoon hours. The classes
generally consist of one and one-half hour, or two-hour sessions
over six weeks.
The membership fee of $45 covers as many classes as you would
like to attend. There are no additional fees except for
textbooks or other supplies as noted.
