Prospective Students:
If you have questions about enrolling at ETSU, contact our academic advisor, Lisa Elliott. Lisa will help you from start to finish. From getting your application for admission submitted, to selecting courses each semester and everything in between.
If you are unsure about what you want to study, Lisa will guide you through the many choices available at ETSU. If you are not certain about a major field of study, don't let it keep you from starting college. All students are required to complete the general education core classes, so you will have plenty of time before having to make that very important decision. If you would like to learn more about careers, a career inventory may aid in your search for information.
Do you need money for college? You may be eligible to receive financial aid. You can find out by going online and completing the federal financial aid form (FAFSA). If you need assistance submitting the form, please call 392-8000 to schedule an appointment.
Attention high school seniors! We will be visiting your school during the lunch hours. While at your school, we will answer questions about ETSU, provide you with scholarship information, and let you know about course offerings at the Kingsport campus.
Check back for the dates Lisa Elliott will be visiting area high schools.
Students 21 years of age and older! After being admitted to ETSU, you will be required to take a placement test. Check out a sample of what to expect on the exam (Compass). This test does not determine eligibility for admission to ETSU; it determines at what level you will begin in both math and English. This exam is available at the Kingsport campus by calling 392-8000 to schedule an appointment.
All new students are required to attend an orientation session in Johnson City. Schedule to meet with the ETSU at Kingsport advisor prior to attending orientation in order to select your classes.
