ETSU at Kingsport FAQ

How many students attend ETSU at Kingsport?  Although the number varies from semester to semester our enrollment (500 – 600) includes 60% traditional age students and 40% non-traditional students. 

 What classes are offered at the Kingsport Campus?  The general education core (the courses required of all students seeking a bachelor’s degree) is offered at ETSU at Kingsport every semester.  In addition to the general education core additional courses are offered in Social Work, Management, Business Administration, and Computer Science.  Cohorts are also being offered in the RN to BSN Program and the Masters of Arts in Reading Education.

 Can I pay fees at ETSU at Kingsport?  Yes, you may pay in person at the Kingsport or Johnson City Campuses, online using GoldLink Online (www.etsu.edu), by phone (423) 439-4212, or by mail (send check or money order to Bursar’s Office, PO Box 70719, ETSU, Johnson City, TN  37614-0719 – Place student ID number on check and allow adequate time for mail delivery)

Can I take all my classes in Kingsport?  Yes, you can take all your classes at the Kingsport location.  These appear on your ETSU transcript and there is no additional paperwork required when you begin to take classes on the main campus.  Some students split their schedule between the Johnson City and Kingsport campuses during the same semester.  Any combination is fine.

 What services are offered at ETSU at Kingsport? 

ADVISEMENT

  • Academic Advisor - ETSU at Kingsport has a full-time academic advisor, Lisa Elliott, who assists prospective as well as continuing students with their schedules. Advisor appointments can be made by calling the main office at 392-8000.
  • College of Education Academic Advisor - An advisor from the College of Education visits Kingsport Campus twice a semester
  • Financial Aid Advisor - A financial aid advisor visits the Kingsport Campus twice a month. 

BOOKSTORE- ETSU at Kingsport offers a bookstore during the first two weeks of classes and at the end of the semester (to buy back books).

 Can I get My ID made in Kingsport?  Yes, check with the main office for dates and hours.  You may also take advantage of the ID office in Johnson City.  The ID Office is located on the second level of the D.P.  Can I join at Fraternity or Sorority if I take all my classes in Kingsport?  Yes, you may go through Rush or participate in any student activity offered at the main campus.

 Do you offer any student activities in Kingsport?  Yes, Ms. Laurie Malone coordinates student activities in Kingsport.  She organizes and leads the Student Advisory Board that offers at least one event per month.
