This years Career Day is going to have a slightly different format. All events will be held in the D. P. Culp Center on ETSU's main campus. There will still be the Career Fair in the Ballroom on the 3rd floor. We will have two workshops for current students and alumni regarding "Getting Ready for the Job Market" held on the 3rd floor in the Forum Room. In addition, we will have a 3.0 hour CEU offering in ethics entitled "Ethical Issues for the Information Age" in the Martha Street Culp Auditorium on the 1st floor. Please see the schedules below for more information. The ethics CEU may registered for using the link in the right hand column to the ETSU calendar. All other parts of this event do not require pre-registration.

Ethical Issues for the Information Age
A Panel Discussion

Presenters: Elizabeth Randall, PhD, LCSW and Brittany Wilkins, PhD, LCSW
Martha Street Culp Auditorium

 

This panel discussion will focus on two primary topics: 1) issues of public civility and consideration of the rights of others when using portable electronic devices in public spaces; and 2) issues of client confidentiality and rights to privacy when portable electronic devices are being used for purposes of professional communication and data management.

The panel includes Elizabeth Randall, PhD, LCSW and Brittany Wilkins, PhD, LCSW. Dr. Randall is a professor in the Department of Social Work at ETSU. She has 27 years of practice experience in the field of behavioral health and is a past president of a state chapter of NASW. Dr. Wilkins is an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at ETSU. She has published articles on topics related to behavioral health and specializes in the epidemiology and treatment of addictions.

Workshop Registration Fees:
  • Free for ETSU Field Instructors, Task Supervisors, Students,  and ETSU Department of Social Work Adjuncts
  • $15 for NASW members and Department of Social Work Community Advisory Committee members
  • $30 for all other Individuals
