Lisa Belcher
Biography
Lisa Belcher began her career at ETSU in April 2005. Her current
position is Human Resource Assistant in the Office of Human
Resources. She enjoys her front office position, greeting visitors,
employees, and students. In 2008 she received her Certified
Professional Secretary certification from the International
Association of Administrative Professionals.
Lisa moved to the Johnson City area in 2003 from Manassas,
Virginia, located just outside of Washington DC. She is not new to
public service, having served 23 years with the Manassas City
Police Department. Lisa started her career as a 911
police/fire/rescue communications dispatcher and was soon promoted
to the 911 Center’s Supervisor. She also served as the police
department’s records clerk, where she received the
“Employee of the Year” for her assistance in the
capture of a murder suspect.
Lisa was just newly elected to Staff Senate in 2011 and is looking
forward to joining the Staff Senate with a campaign to
“Engage” the campus. She is eager to serve her fellow
senators and staff in any way she can.
