Brian is currently an Information Systems Analyst 3 in the Office of Information Technology. In this role, he serves as the Banner technical lead for the Office of Human Resources and the Division of University Advancement. His other duties include finding solutions for Banner issues that span multiple departments and serving as lead for much of the in-house web site development.
Brian has come through the ranks at ETSU, completing a B.S. degree in Computer Science in 2001 and returning to school a year later to begin an M.S. in Computer Science. After graduating in 2004, Brian became a temporary employee in OIT, for a one-month contract. The one-month contract soon led to a six-month contract. When a job opening became available in 2005, the temporary assignment turned into a full-time position as a Programmer/Analyst 2. Brian moved into his current role as Analyst 3 a year later.
In addition to his OIT duties, Brian has also taught several courses as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. These courses include Introduction to Computer Science, World Wide Web Design, Visual Programming, and Ethical Issues in Computing. Brian is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Information Systems at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
