Biography

Tom Hill has been an employee of East Tennessee State University since August 1999.  He completed his ASA degree in Electrical Technology, Northeast State Community College, (2007).  In addition, Tom decided to further his education and pursue his BS degree in Construction Management, ETSU, with plans to graduate in 2014.  Tom received the ETSU LEAD Certification in 2005.  

Tom has served as an elected member of Staff Senate a total of six terms.  He has also served on the Veterans Committee, a University Standing Committee, for two years.  Tom received the Outstanding Senators Award,and is on the Visibility Committee, Veterans Committee and Picnic Committee. Tom is the Vice President of our TSEA chapter and was awarded the Rising Star Award for ETSU Chapter. Tom  also serves as the co-chair for Bucky’s Food Pantry.

In 2001, Tom was the recipient of the Cornerstone Award granted by the Residence Hall Association (RHA).  To date, he has been honored to receive a ten-year service award and has also been the recipient of a Service Award for his participation on Staff Senate.

Tom enjoys scuba diving, sky diving, bass guitar playing, riding motorcycles, and reading books.  He is a true servant and strives to continuously identify new ways to penetrate and better serve his community.
