Karen Holden has been a part of the ETSU community for a great part of her life. After graduating from University High she forged ahead and became a graduate of ETSU. She has been a staff member in the Office of Financial Services (once known as the Comptroller’s Office) for over 30 years! Karen holds a Certified Professional Secretary certification and notes that, “It’s a great way to receive a nice raise!” She very much enjoys her work as well as the opportunity to work with “a great group of people in an around her little slice of the university.”
Karen’s committee involvement includes serving on the Staff Development and Evaluation, and Review of Staff Awards Process Committees. She is honored to have been elected to serve on the Senate and sincerely hopes she can be an asset and good staff representative for her fellow employees of the university.
Karen and her husband Billy have one son, Jason. Jason is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a degree in Landscape Architecture. Jason currently is a Landscape Architect in Orlando, Florida.
