Pam Marston, CAP-OM
Pam began at ETSU in the summer of 2006, and joined the College of Nursing in August of 2011 as an Executive Aide to the Office of Student Services. She performs core administrative office functions as well as supervising student workers. She greets students, and visitors, and helps them to get advisement and information they need to apply to the nursing programs.
She serves as support for Undergraduate Academic Standards, the Graduate PhD program, and is the contact for clinical affiliation agreements with outside agencies so that nursing students can acquire their clinical experience.
In 2010 she received both her Certified Professional Secretary and Certified Administrative Professional designations from the International Association of Administrative Professionals, and continues to take courses that promote skills in the workplace.
Pam has chaired the annual College of Nursing Holiday Luncheon for the last 2 years, which boasts an extensive silent auction from businesses near and far – all money raised goes to the James Michael Mitchell Memorial Nursing Student Emergency Fund.
She has created a ‘mock pantry’ in the reception area of Student Services to give a ‘visible reminder’ to passersby about the need that exists on campus to help one another. This location has become an active donation drop off point for Bucky’s Pantry on campus.
Pam and her husband, Walt, moved to Tennessee 26 years ago from New Hampshire. They have four grown children, and 3 grandchildren. Her husband is an artist/designer with an online business.
Pam is an avid animal lover with 3 dogs and a cat- all rescues. She loves working with her dogs, and is very active with groups that are concerned with the protection of abused animals nationwide. Pam and her husband, Walt, use their weekends to work on their website or continue the ‘never-ending’ project renovating their home.
