Debbie Starnes has been part of the ETSU family for 21 years. Currently, she is the Executive Aide for the department of Public Safety in 2008. She began her employment in 1990 in Payroll. Through advancement, she has also been employed with the Physical Plant, and the department of Physics. As an elected Senator, she began her Senate term in 2006. During her tenure on the Senate, she has held the office of Treasurer (2009-2010). She is an active member of the Elections and Staff Awards Committees.
Debbie’s interests include running and gardening. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a devout member of New Victory Baptist church.
