The Distinguished Staff Awards recognize outstanding ETSU staff members for their contributions to the University. Anyone can nominate a deserving staff member. Awards are designated for all staff EEOC categories, with a special Career Award category for an employee with long-term service to ETSU.

Please note that EEOC category 20 is for faculty members.  There is a separate process in place for them; they are not eligible to receive staff awards.

Each year an announcement is sent to the campus community soliciting nominations for the Distinguished Staff Award. If you have any questions about the Staff Awards process, please contact Leigh Lewis by e-mail at lewill01@etsu.edu or 439-6360.

Guidelines

Those nominated for the Distinguished Staff Award must be staff members who have been continuously employed at ETSU for at least one full year. One Distinguished Staff Award can be given for each staff EEOC category. One annual Career Award can be presented to a staff member with long-term service to the university. Petitions will not be accepted for or with any of the nominations. Please attach supporting statements or other documentation if available.

Winners will receive $1,000 courtesy of the ETSU Foundation and a plaque from Staff Senate at the Staff Awards Picnic. You may nominate as many people as you wish, but you must use a separate form for each nomination.
