Trying to find adequate Child Care while you attend classes is a serious and sometimes frustrating endeavor, especially if you are not fortunate enough to have family members available locally to help and assist in child care.

East Tennessee State University has three campus Child Care programs available to Students enrolled at ETSU:

The Child Study Center:  Located less than 1 mile from the main ETSU campus, provides full-day, full-years child care services.  Operating hours for the facility are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.   The Child Study Center serves children ages 3 months through 3 years in the Infant / Toddler Program and children 3 years through 5 years in the Early Learning Program.  The Child Study Center follows the ETSU Administrative calendar for providing services.

Contact the Child Study Center by calling (423) 439-4888.

Little Buccaneers Student Child Care Center:  Student Child Care program that is located on the first and second floors of Warf-Pickel.   Little Bucs serves only children of ETSU Student-Parents while they attend classes, fulfill class requirements, study, or work on campus.   The program follows the ETSU academic schedule and is closed when classes are not in session. Care is available on a first-come, first-served basis to all children between the ages of 3 months and 6 years of ETSU students.  NOTE:  Fee for service is required, with the cost depending on the number of hours for care needed and the age of the child.

For more information on Little Bucs at ETSU, please call (423) 439-7549.

Casual Care at the Center for Physical Activity (CPA):  Part-time Child Care facility at the Center for Physical Activity (CPA), which is prepared to supervise and entertain younger members of a family while the Parent and/or Guardian enjoys activities at the CPA.   Casual Care takes children from ages 3 months to 8 years old, requiring the Parent or Guardian to remain in the CPA at all times. Children are able to visit Casual Care up to 90 minutes per visit, visiting a maximum of 10 hours per week.  Casual Care will care for up to 20 children at a time, on a first-come-first-serve basis.  NOTE:  Casual Care is not a full-fledged day care, so children must arrive clean and fed.  Snacks are permitted, yet not provided.

Contact Casual Care at (423) 439-7971 during CPA operation hours.
