Attend first day of Spring classes

Class attendance is important for successful achievement. Not only will you learn the course material but many courses and departments have an attendance policy. Not attending can affect your financial aid, housing, grades etc.

Complete degree and graduation requirements

In order to graduate and receive your degree from ETSU you complete all degree and graduation requirements.

If you haven’t visited University Career Services, do it now!

Becoming career ready takes time and the spring semester passes quickly!  The University Career Services Office is located on the 2nd floor of the D.P. Culp University Center.  You can reach them at 423/439-4450 or by email at 

Attend Graduation Celebration: Real World 101 (pick up cap and gown)

Order your ETSU class ring & graduation announcements, pick up your cap & gown, have professional photos taken, brush up on corporate dining etiquette, join the ETSU National Alumni Association and more.

Check eMail for information and updates from the Graduation Office

Check Goldlink for any “holds” that you may have and, if you have questions, contact your graduation analyst in the graduation office at http://www.etsu.edu/reg/graduation/analyst.php.

Mentor successors in leadership roles

Current student leaders who are nearing graduation can play an important role in mentoring newer members to take on the leadership roles in the future. You will be instrumental in teaching the “ins and outs” of your leadership role to others.

Prepare for final exams

Now is the time to begin studying and preparing for final exams. Your final exams are not always scheduled on the same day and time as your regular class schedule.

Join the ETSU Alumni Association

Stay connected to ETSU after graduation by joining the ETSU Alumni Association. Joining the Association gives you the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities with the organization including: special programs, student recruitment activities, reunions, Homecoming and various events that support ETSU.

Complete 96-120 credits

Most ETSU undergraduate programs require 120 credit hours to graduate.

Attend Commencement and graduate

CStudents who have completed degree requirements may participate in graduation ceremonies. There are two ceremonies each year. May graduates attend the May graduation ceremony. Students who finish requirements in any of the summer terms receive their diplomas in late August and are invited to attend the following December ceremony along with the December graduates.

Pick up your diploma in the Graduation Office (Room 102A) between 8:00am and 4:30pm or if you live further than 30 miles, email your analyst at http://www.etsu.edu/reg/graduation/analyst.php to have your diploma mailed to you.
