Orientation is a program
carefully designed to assist students during an important time of transition
in their lives. Programs are tailored to fit the various populations of
students entering ETSU:
Whether you live across town or hundreds of miles away, coming to ETSU will be a different experience in your life. Attendance at Orientation will provide you with the following assistance. You will: be advised and register early for classes, receive your ETSU ID card, become familiar with the campus, student services, and involvement opportunities, and meet university staff and students. Participation is required for all students who live within a radius of 250 miles. Once you have been accepted to the university you will receive an invitation to attend orientation. There are orientation dates for each term. Choose the date for the term you are entering and send in your fee and reservation form. We will send you confirmation of your orientation date. Parents and other guests are encouraged to attend Orientation, as well. A portion of the program is designed specifically for them. An on-line version of the Parent's Handbook is also available. It contains a wide range of information for parents of incoming students. Parents, guests, or students requiring special assistance or interpreters for the hearing-impaired should contact the Director for Disability Services, (423)439-8346, at least one week prior to the event. For additional information on the "Orientation Programs", please feel free to contact the Office of Student Affairs at (423) 439-4210 or send us e-mail at: calkinsp@etsu.edu |
