Blue and Gold Days are East Tennessee State University’s orientation programs designed to introduce new students and their families to life on the ETSU campus. Each orientation session provides an opportunity to be advised and register for classes, receive a student ID card, become familiar with campus, student services and involvement opportunities, meet university staff and students, and find answers to questions and address concerns. The program is so important to a successful start that it is mandatory if you live within a 250 mile radius of campus. After you have applied to ETSU and you have been admitted, you will receive an invitation brochure with a reservation form inside to sign up to attend an orientation session. We begin mailing invitation brochures on October 1 for students entering in the Spring semester and on March 15 for students entering in the Summer and April 4 for Fall semesters. Just follow instructions in the brochure and you will be signed up to attend. You will receive a confirmation card in the mail.By the end of the orientation program, you will be ready for class attendance. The ETSU staff and Pride Team members are prepared to guide you through the orientation experience by responding to your needs, as well as providing tips to make the transition to ETSU easy and fun.If you have any other questions, please call our office at 439-4210 or e-mail calkinsp@etsu.edu |
